About Us

COBRA™ hoods from PGI help you keep a cool head under fire. We understand that when you’re on the job there's no time to be distracted by poor fitting and uncomfortable safety apparel. Every part of your firefighting gear is critical and must provide you with complete confidence. COBRA firefighting hoods are the perfect addition to the rest of your protective ensemble, completing the vital shell of protection for you and your crew.

COBRA’s Classic, Ultimate and Elite hoods have been engineered to maximize protection. Only state-of-the-art flame-resistant fabrics are used assuring permanent flame and heat protection even after years of use and repeated laundering. Features such as heavier elastic in the face opening, our COMFORT-PLUS™ liner, our SURE FIT™ panel and our tailored front and back drape designs set our hoods apart from the competition. For additional peace of mind, all Classic, Ultimate and Elite COBRA™ hoods are Underwriters Laboratory classified to meet or exceed the NFPA 1971 - Current Edition. COBRA also offers hoods for non fire-fighting applications.

COBRA is just one of the protective safety gear lines from PGI, located in America’s heartland: Green Lake, Wisconsin. High-tech protective and flame resistant fabrics reach their full potential with PGI's detailed performance design and manufacturing capabilities.

PGI is an ISO 9001:2015 Registered Company

Why ISO 9001?

Standards make an enormous and positive contribution to most aspects of our lives.

Standards ensure desirable characteristics of products and services such as quality, environmental friendliness, safety, reliability, efficiency and interchangeability - and at an economical cost.

When products and services meet our expectations, we tend to take this for granted and be unaware of the role of standards. However, when standards are absent, we soon notice. We soon care when products turn out to be of poor quality, do not fit, are incompatible with equipment that we already have, are unreliable or dangerous.

When products, systems, machinery and devices work well and safely, it is often because they meet standards. And the organization responsible for many thousands of the standards which benefit the world is ISO.
