Cobra Classic hoods provide double layer coverage of neck, upper chest and top of the shoulder blades. The notched side helps bib lie flat for improved interface with bunker coat. Flat-stitched seams eliminate bunching and won’t dig into skin. A half inch wide elastic face opening stretches to full 17" to ensure a snug fit around most SCBA masks. UL Classified to NFPA 1971 Standard on Protective Ensembles for Structural Fire Fighting and Proximity Fire Fighting – Current Edition.
Developed by PGI in the early 1980s, this mid-weight blend has become the most popular hood fabric in the market due to its ability to wick moisture away from the skin more effectively than other flame resistant fabrics keeping the wearer drier and more comfortable.
